DIY Loudspeaker Project
Summer 2007
I recently bought a pair of Vifa M18WO-09-08 and Vifa D27TG-08-06 from Troels Gravesen. Crossover schematics were also included. Here is a short summary of the building process.

Building the speakers

All parts were bought pre-cut. (Exept the holes, as you can see.)

 

Cabinet damping with Acoustilux

 

The end result appears quite nice, although it is easily discovered that these speakers are home-made...

 

Crossover components. Only high-quality parts were used.

Crossovers are mounted at the bottom end of the cabinets.

 

The drivers are fitted in place.

 

The (almost) finished speakers. Due to the lack of a good playback source, I am unable to give a detailed description of the sound.
